Dil Foods, an internet first virtual cloud kitchen startup, is disrupting the daily meal market by making use of underutilized infrastructure of small independent restaurants to serve authentic regional cuisine. It partners with small to medium independent food businesses and restaurants and runs a chain of regional virtual food brands. Under the umbrella of Dil Foods, each type of cuisine is offered by a unique but complementary brand catering to the varied palates of India. As of June 2023, the company operated 40+ successful cloud kitchen restaurant brands in Bangalore and Hyderabad, including Dil Punjabi, Aahar, Bhole Ke Chole, Bihari Bowl, House of Andhra, and The Chaat Cult. Across the existing brands, the company has a total of 220 SKUs which will further expand as the company brings in more regional cuisines going forward.

Dil Foods is committed to strengthening the business of small independent restaurants, who often struggle to achieve sustainability and financial viability due to limited resources, financial constraints and a shortage of specialized personnel. Dil aims to address these challenges by providing a platform that helps them reach a wider audience and increase their asset and resource utilization significantly. In July 2023, Dil Foods raised a pre-series A round of $2 Mn with V3 Ventures and Mount Judi Ventures co-leading the round, along with participation from known angels like Revant Bhate (former Rebel and founder of Mosaic Wellness) and Arjun Vaidya (Founder of Dr Vaidya’s).
