Mount Judi India Growth Fund was successfully launched in Bengaluru on 6th July 2018 at a grand ceremony at Hotel Chancery Pavilion, Residency Road, Bengaluru. The event was successful in bringing all the key stakeholders of start-up ecosystem under one roof - business-men, investors and entrepreneurs; apart from academicians and professionals. Entrepreneurs' stalls at the event gave a rare opportunity for the guests to interact one-on-one with the entrepreneurs to understand their zeal and enthusiasm. The event started off with recitation of prayers. Mr. Sherif Kottapurath, Managing Partner of Mount Judi Ventures (MJV), welcomed the guests and shared the larger vision of MJV. Renowned international speaker Mr. Mirza Yawar Baig gave the key note address on Entrepreneurship as a means to build a lasting legacy. The speech drove home the importance of entrepreneurship development, which leads to employment and creation of wealth; and the importance of Venture Capital funding plays in this in the era driven by technology. Mr. Kazi Arif Zaman, a leading private equity professional, spoke about the importance of Venture Capital as an opportune investment for wealth generation and business growth. Mr. N S Parthasarathy, Chief Guest, addressed the gathering and spoke about the relevance of Venture Capital funds in accelerating the growth of businesses. Dr. Sridhar Mitta, Mr. Vedamoorthy Namasivayam and Mr. Mustafa Wajid formally launched Mount Judi India Growth fund by handing over the SEBI license to General Partners of Mount Judi Ventures. Mr. Mohammed Ali Shariff, Principal at MJV, introduced the salient features of the Fund to the guests. The presentations were followed by an open session by the General Partners of Mount Judi Ventures, where they shared their motivations of starting the venture. This was followed by elevator pitch by entrepreneurs, where they explained their business models, their relevance as well as their differentiators. Mr. Shoaib Ahmed, General Partner of MJV & former President of Tally Systems, thanked the guests for their presence at the event. The event ended with dinner, which provided further opportunity for networking.
